
Kazakhstani military men in composition of the task group of Directorate of Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces, battalion tactical group of Airmobile Forces, representatives of Air Defence Forces took off from Kazakhstan to Tajikistan to participate in the exercise "Peace Mission-2012" on military transport aircraft An-12 and AN-26.
The military anti-terrorist command post exercise of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is to be held at the training ground Chorukh-Dayron, near the city of Khujand. In the exercise of Military units of armies of the SCO member states: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan take part in the exercise. During "Peace Mission 2012" military units will hold a joint operation in mountainous terrain.
Besides of division of air assault brigade of Airmobile Forces of Kazakhstan there will be involved army and tactical aviation: helicopter MI-24 and Mi-17, two
Su-27.
Su-27.
Chinees group on the exercise will be presented by a infantry company and artillery group.
Kyrgyz Republic group will be presented by mountain company and a group of special forces, the Russian Federation by motorized infantry battalion on BTR-80. The host of the exercise Tajikistan will involve air assault and mechanized infantry battalions to participate "Peace Mission 2012".
China, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan will involve aviation during the exercise.
During the first stage of the exercise there will be held military-political consultations of Chiefs of Generals Staffs of the armed forces of the SCO member states. In the course of negotiations that will be held in Khujand there will be given proposals on use of troops of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Kazakhstan's side will be presented by First Deputy Minister of Defence of Kazakhstan - Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staffs Colonel-General Saken Zhasuzakov.
During the next stages of the exercise the unified group of troops will conduct a joint antiterrost operation in mountain condition.
It should be noted that the previous exercise "Peace Mission 2010" under aegis of the SCO was held a year ago in Kazakhstan, on the training ground Matybulak, Zhambyl oblast.
Kazakhstan servicemen took combat reconnaissance vehicles "Kobra" on board of An-12 to invlve in the exercise. These vehicles were adopted into the inventory of reconnaissance detachments of the Land Forces of Kazakhstan this year.

These machines had recently been presented at the exhibition of weapons systems and military equipment «KADEX-2012". "Cobra" is capable to perform combat missions in all conditions of modern warfare. The main task of the combat reconnaissance vehicle is carry out special operations and reconnaissance, participation in escorting transort columns, patrolling areas on different types of roads and terrain.
It should be noted that in accordance with intergovernmental agreements between the companies "Kazakhstan Engineering" and Turkish company "Otokar" production machines "Cobra" will be carried out in Kazakhstan.
Upon arrival in Tajikistan Kazakhstan Task Force will begin preparation for tactical exercise episodes. Kazakhstan Minister of Defence Adilbek Dzhaksybekov is toarrive at the final stage of the exercises in Tajikistan.
