From 25 to 30 May, 2012 Sport Committee - Central Sports Club of Army of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan conducts XVIІ International Boxing Tournament for the prizes of the Hero of the Soviet Union Army General, Halyk Kaharmany Nurmagambetov Sagadat Kozhahmetovich in the Sports Complex "Dostyk", Almaty.
XVIІ International Boxing Tournament is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. boxers from the USA, Georgia, India, Qatar, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine are to participate in the tournament.
Kazakhstan's team is represented by Serik Sapiev, Birzhan Zhakipov, Erkebulan Shynaliev, Rustam Rgebaev, Alibi Nurmatov, Berik Abdrakhmanov, Chinghis Berdibekov, Kamyshbek Konkabaev, Aset Kasymov, Bagdad Torebaev, Daniyar Tulegenov, Aslan Mukanov, Beckman Aylubayev, Ilyas Suleimenov, Adlet Kapezov, Nurlan Massenov, Khamzat Geliskhanov, Erik Zhumakhmetov, Bauyrzhan Iztleuov. Athletes of 1994 and older who have medical passports AІVA are Allowed to participate in the tournament.
The purpose of the tournament is to increase professionalism,
select promising athletes candidates for manning teams of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan to participate in international competitions and appoint grades of Master of Sports for the 1st place in the international tournament.
The competition will be served by professional judges, who have the AIBA qualifications (World Amateur Boxing Association) such as: Serik Abdynaliev, Boris Tshvirashvilli, Ilisyz Dyusekov, Vasily Baturin, Hamit Barayev, Berik Kasymhanov.
