
Today the opening ceremony of the second International exhibition of weapons systems and military equipment «KADEX-2012" has been held in Astana . The opening ceremony was attended by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The event started with a demonstration of military equipment, which is in inventory of the Kazakhstan Armed Forces. The spectators watched move of T-72 and T-72B tanks, infantry fighting vehicles BMP-2, military wheeled vehicles "Cobra", "Tiger," "Hammer", "KAMAZ".
Tactical episode was conducted on especially equipped ground for the exhibition where equipment was overcoming obstacles, thus demonstrating its military and technical capabilities. All machines fired on designated targets by blank ammunition on the move.
During the demonstration of military helicopters ES-145 flew to the exhibition area. These light twin-engine helicopters are one of the most popular models in the world owing to its multifunctional performance and cabin capacity. This is a product of domestic machinery manufacturing and especial pride for representatives of Kazakhstan military-industrial complex. They are assembled on the base of Kazakhstan enterprise “Eurocopter Kazakhstan” which is in the composition of National Company “Kazakhstan Engineering”.
In the future, "Eurocopter Kazakhstan" will be the only company in the CIS not only on assembly and maintenance of the ES-145, but also on production of separate components for helicopters. There was provided technology transfer as well. The planned capacity of the plant is 8-10 helicopters a year.
Demonstration of military equipment was continued by special purpose units.
Demonstration Program organized by the Land Forces of Kazakhstan ended with demonstration of military men of Airmobile forces.
The solemnity of the ceremony was enhanced by the ground parade where combined military orchestra of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, orchestras of Germany, Poland, Tajikistan, India and the United States took part.
Air show program included demonstration flights of combat aircraft aerobatic teams of the Air Forces of Kazakhstan.
Aerobatics teams on aircraft A-39, MiG-29, Su-27 were making acrobatic maneuvers in the sky over the area of the exhibition.
The aircraft were run by pilots of aerobatic teams "Sunkar", "Tau" and "Zhetysu" of Air Forces of Kazakhstan.
After the demonstration of modern weapons and military equipment which are in inventory of the Land Forces and Air Force of Kazakhstan Army, Nursultan Nazarbayev accompanied by Minister of Defence of Kazakhstan and representatives of the Kazakhstan’s army generals visited some pavilions of the exhibition.
One of the first places where the President had a look was parking of military transport aircraft Airbus C-295.
Recently the Republican State Enterprise "Kazspetsexport", which is the competent authority of the Ministry of Defence of Kazakhstan for export and import of armament and military equipment had awarded the contract for the delivery of the first two C-295 aircraft. In addition, a Memorandum of mutual understanding on the further delivery of six more aircraft C-295 had been signed.
After the airplane manufactured by Airbus Military the Head of the State viewed the Russian plane “Super Jet”, which was created by experimental design bureau "Sukhoi"
Paying attention to representatives of Kazakhstan military-industry enterprises, the President called at the hall of the National Company "Kazakhstan Engineering.
It should be noted that the National Company "Kazakhstan Engineering" has taken a significant amount of exhibition stands.
Joint-stock companies which are in the structure of the Company such as “Petropavlovsk Plant of Heavy Machine-Building”, “KAMAZ-Engineering”, Ural Plant “Zenit”, “Instrument making plant “Omega””, “Semipalatinsk machine building plant” and others will present their production.
This year over 250 companies from more than 20 countries filed applications for participation.
A wide variety of products at the exhibition is presented by domestic enterprises which successfully approved themselves both in the Kazakhstan’s and foreign markets. Among companies participating in the exhibition there are companies from such states as Germany, Russia, Canada, Poland, USA, Ukraine, Belarus, Italy, Spain, France, Slovak Republic, Turkey and many others
Compared with the First exhibition of weapons systems and military equipment “Kadex-2010” held in Astana in 2010, the number of participants of the current exhibition has increased by more than 30%.
Co-organizers of the exhibition are the Republican State Enterprise "Kazspetsexport", JSC National Company "Kazakhstan Engineering", JSC "Kazahvzryvprom" and JSC "Kazakhstan GIS Center." Host of the exhibition is the exhibition company "Astana-Expo KS".
In the first two days of the exhibition, participants will hold business meetings, negotiations, discussions. In the next two days the exhibition will be opened for all visitors.
Official closing of the exhibition will be held on 6 May, in the afternoon. This day the first results of the exhibition will be announced. There will be also given diplomas, memorial signs, exchange of gifts and awards.
