Today in Astana there was organized a mass field and track race dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Organizers are the Sports Committee - CSKA MO RK.
Such events are carried out in all the garrisons with a maximum coverage of personnel and involvement of family members of military personnel.
Military men holding flags of types and branches of troops, military units and agencies ran along city streets. Among them are detachments of the Ministry of Defence, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Land Forces, Air Defence Forces and Navy.
Deputy Minister of Defence Sergei Gromov made a brief speech and congratulated the participants of the event.
The route of the race began from the building of the Ministry of Defence along Dostyk street - Turan Avenue - street Tauelsіzdіk - street Turkіstan – and ended by the building of Ministry of Defence.
More than 500 participants at the end of the solemn meeting have launched a festive activities of the Kazakhstani Army.
